Karen then decided to take a career change and moved into the recruitment arena, where she spent the next 10 years. Karen not only delivered nationally recognised results for those companies she also spent her time managing over 90 staff at 13 sites from Gladstone to the Cape and as far afield as Darwin. Since 2003, Karen has provided leadership and management of field and administrative operations in Regional and Far North Queensland for Queensland Apprenticeship Services . She also sits on several steering committees, whilst working closely with Chamber of Commerce Industry Queensland, Government Departments, Local organisations, State and National Training organisations to mention a few. Karen holds a Diploma of Graphic Design and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. QAS services North and North West Queensland and the Torres Strait Islands, with 3 regional offices in Cairns, Townsville and Mount Isa. The QAS head office and Service Centre is located in Brisbane.
