Reforming the Australian Apprenticeships system

On 21 February 2011, Senator the Hon Christopher Evans, Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills, Jobs and Workplace Relations released A Shared responsibility –Apprenticeships for the 21st Century, an independent report on reform options for the national apprenticeships system.
The report was produced by The Apprenticeships for the 21st Century Expert Panel and supported by research conducted by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER). The report contains 14 recommendations for reform of the existing Australian Apprenticeship System and will shape the future of the system. NSW Business Chamber’s policy recommendations have been recognised in the Expert Panel report.
